We saw a purpose and built a tax law firm to support the needs of businesses, their officers, and their owners. First and foremost, we are a business founded on the idea that people do business with people.

Brotman Law assists a select number of clients and helps them to achieve their personal, professional and financial goals.
We believe you can achieve great things when freed from the burdens of your tax problems. Our clients help and heal others, build and design, run businesses and households, and seemingly move mountains on an almost daily basis. They excel at being great parents, sons, daughters, spouses, and friends. They dream big and swing for the fences, even if it means that they sometimes stumble. Our clients inspire us, we admire them as people, and that is why we advocate tirelessly on their behalf.
Those words, originally written in the infancy of our firm, are still true today. At our core is the idea that our business is a platform built for the success of our clients, our team members, and their families.

Our History
Like all businesses, Brotman Law started as a dream.
Fueled by the trust and confidence our clients have in us, the dedication of our team, and good old-fashioned hard work, we’ve expanded our firm to more than ten times its size since our first year in practice. In 2018, we ranked as the 14th fastest-growing law firm in the country.
December 28, 2013
Our first client. The doors were not supposed to open for another five days, but someone got to us early and we resolved his issue before the clock struck midnight for 2014.
2014
The firm moves into its first formal office on Saratoga Avenue in the Ocean Beach neighborhood of San Diego. We were a small tax law firm with three employees, a laid-back vibe, and a killer ocean view.
2018
Brotman Law moves into our office at 402 W. Broadway. Almost four years had passed, but in that span our firm had developed into one of the leading tax firms in Southern California. We received national attention and contributed to articles for the New York Times (the front page) and the Wall Street Journal.
Today
We are better today than we ever have been in the past. Our history will always be ingrained in who we are, but the firm has so many more resources and avenues to help our clients. Over a decade of truly stellar results for those we represent and more than a billion saved in taxes, we look forward to the future and to our legacy as a firm. When we finish whatever road we are on, we want to be remembered for all the positive change that we have created for our clients, their employees, and ours. We don’t settle for less.
